SURFACES is an exhibition of light and sound featuring some of the best films, projections, video art, and interactive installations from Orlando and beyond. This curated event explores the relationship between artist-created visuals and the surfaces used to bring these visuals to life, and takes place annually at the Gallery and Film Cinema at the University of Central Florida.

How to Participate

For Gallery Submissions:

Submit works of motion graphics, projection mapping, interactive installations, experimental, and performance-based pieces for exhibition in the UCF Art Gallery,

For Film Submissions:

Submit single-channel works for the theater portion of the event ONLY. Narrative, documentary, experimental, and hybrid short films are encouraged to submit.

Entries Due by January 5, 2017


SURFACES 2.0 will take place at the UCF Art Gallery from February 3-7, 2017. The event opening reception includes a looping program of single-channel video works for a 455-seat theater and a gallery exhibition of expanded, interactive, and performance-based works.
