Students enrolled in officially supported production courses should stop by the Film Equipment Room, NSC 157, to have their UCF ID cards scanned for access to Film Program production facilities. Supported production courses for the Spring 2017 semester are as follows:

  • FIL 2480 Directing for Film I
  • FIL 4436 Film Theory / Film Production
  • FIL 2552 Editing I
  • FIL 4163C Feature / TV Writing II
  • Students enrolled in an approved Independent Study
  • Film, MFA graduate students

Winter is Coming… The last day of finals for the 2016 Fall semester is Monday, December 12th. Undergraduate access to the Film Program’s production facilities ends at 9:30pm on Dec. 12th. Capstone students are granted extended access to just the post-production facilities until 5pm on December 23rd (pleases stop by the Film Operations Desk to get your card rescanned to facilitate this). Undergraduate re-admittance to production facilities for the Spring semester does not begin until 8:30am on January 9th.

Graduate student access to both main campus production facilities and the SVAD Graduate Lab at the UCF Center for Emerging Media remains open until 5pm on December 23rd and reopens for the Spring semester at 9am on Tuesday, January 3rd.

The university is closed for business from Saturday, December 24th to Monday, January 2nd. The Film Equipment Room reopens for business at 9:00am on Tuesday, January 3rd.

The start of a new academic year is upon us and we are excited to greet all new and returning faces! We hope you have ucfCardreturned well rested and ready for another busy production season here at the Film Program at the UCF School of Visual Art & Design!

Students who are currently enrolled in a supported production course can gain entry into the UCF/SVAD Film Program’s production facilities by stopping by the Film Operations Desk located in the Film Equipment Room | NSC-157 and have your UCF ID programmed for entry. The Film Equipment Room is open Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 5:00pm.

The last day of finals for the Spring semester is Wednesday, May 4th. Undergraduate access to the Film Program’s production facilities ends at midnight. Any undergraduate student who needs to gain access to production facilities during the summer semester must seek approval from the Operations Manager, Jonathan Bowen. Please visit the Film Operations Desk in NSC 157 for further inquiry.
